When McCartney asked me to be her senior photographer, one of the first things she said was, “If there is something you’d like to try, and no one else has done it, I will!” And so I was thinking, “Well, there is this boat…”
She wasn’t kidding. Not only did McCartney put on her beautiful prom dress and tromp out to a pond, but she rowed herself across until we could get just the right light. (Sparing her mom from rowing me in the other boat.) Needless to say, her senior video, where we captured her mom tossing her the life jacket, McCartney rowing, McCartney drifting, and McCartney laughing, is priceless.
The image with the French horn was entirely her idea — and I love it.
After that, it was sunflowers and swingsets and bunnies — oh my! This girl has such a “can-do” attitude, it’s contagious! Thanks, McCartney!
