The girls’ in-studio personalities were much different than I expected!
Four years ago I photographed the lovely Olive, a beautiful Italian Spinone, in preparation for my Kibbles & Cameras benefit. She sat regally in a velvety chair, lit by the morning light coming from a large window. All was well until she saw a (whisper it with me…) squirrel…out the window. That was the end of the shoot!
Two years ago, Olive was joined by another Italian Spinone, Nico, a girl full of zip and vigor — a tail-wagging silly who is incredibly personable. I expected her to sit next to my light, shift the weight on her paws (you know, to make her figure look its best), and tilt her head. Nope. It was unfamiliar territory, and she would have none of it.
It was the experienced Olive, the one with an existing model portfolio, that was compliant.
Gorgeous girl!
Look at Nico’s brilliant orange roan coat! Turn around, Nico! Look this way! THIS WAY!
Next time, Nico, we will capture you in ACTION!
Thank you, Karin, for sharing your dogs!
