When the BHS Track & Field Coach asked me to design a poster to herald their upcoming season, I thought, “Fun!”
When he told me that it was to feature the seniors, and that there were 24 of them, I thought, “Um…that’s a lotta kids!”
The day of the shoot, this Baraboo senior photographer looked out the window and saw a troupe of kids, single file, ready to march down to the camera room. Hurdles, batons, shoes, shot puts…they brought it all. (Even a Hello Kitty baton!)
I have to give them credit. We photographed these athletes in small groups of two or three; they put themselves together, practically posed themselves, and were so efficient, it was over before I knew it. (Many of them have been here before!)
I can’t wait to see these athletes, and the rest of the Baraboo Thunderbirds, on the new track this season!
