We bid on these concert tickets in an exciting live auction at a benefit dinner for our local UW campus. What a blast from my past! I was SO YOUNG when they were on the music scene. (Just a wee toddler!) The thought of hearing their blended harmonies, and just to see them together was so very exciting.
Until I realized that the concert was on Mother’s Day.
Not long after, we learned that the concert had been postponed. Cancelled. Moved, even.
Can you be happy that someone isn’t feeling well?
In this case, I’m OK with it. Some days should just be spent with family.
Come July though, I expect to have a rousing time listening to songs about silence, bridges, boxers… and a lady named Mrs. Robinson.
