Who is this person?
I ask myself this every time I log onto LinkedIn.
I see the connections who have viewed my profile, or the “people you might know,” and I notice that a number of profiles lack the profile PICTURE.
And you know what happens next?
Nothing.
Research shows that it only takes 1/10 of a second for someone to draw conclusions about you based on your photo. So if you don’t have a profile photo, or if your photo is amateurish, then you’ve lost me.
And just about everyone else.
A professional headshot is just that. Professional. Does it have to be boring? Nope. Serious? No. Professional? Yes.
